Autism Awareness

Image
Hey everyone, it's me again! April is Autism Awareness Month, and in honor of EVERYONE on the spectrum, and especially my sweet nephew Tyler, I had to do this design. For those of us with a loved one on the autism spectrum, awareness goes FAR beyond April. It's every single day. Autism parents/caretakers/guardians fight constantly for them. Autism warriors are all around the world, and they will never stop fighting. Autism means many different things to different people, and I wanted to share what it is to me. This is something I wrote 5 years ago: T o me, Autism means seeing the world in a completely different way than most people. It means seeing people in a totally different light. It's seeing everything good in the world that's hidden from others. It means not being able to deal with some things that other people don't think twice about. It's also watching a little boy love everyone around him, and get his heart broken multiple times when some of tho...

Layered Iris

Image
Hey everyone, it's me again! So I decided to try layered stamping for the first time, and while it didn't come out perfect, I still LOVE how it looks! Decided to go with some negative space...sorta. I have a holo top coat on it instead of just leaving them bare, and I also decided to use my multichrome polish that I haven't used in....FOREVER. The green to purple shift is PERFECT with the purple & white iris flower, and the aurora borealis rhinestones. All in all, I just really love how this design looks. Hope you all do too!! Purple Bows

Image
Hey everyone, it's me!  Bows, purple, bling, iridescent, and holo. What more does a girl need?  I LOVE how this design looks, and the picture just does NOT do it justice. I got some nail vinyls/stencils from the What's Up Nails store a few weeks ago, and decided to try the bows out today. And of COURSE I had to include some holo and some bling! I figured the iridescent shimmer from Maniology would be the perfect touch, and I was right! There's so much shimmer and color-shifting to this design that it's hard to know what point to focus on lol. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!! So I decided to try something new with my products used list...of course I'll have the list, but I'm going to put a picture before it showing everything first. Let me know what you think, and if I should continue doing it or not. Harry Potter Houses

Image
Hey everyone, it's me! So I ordered a set of 4 stamping plates from Beauty Bigbang off Amazon, and when I saw the plate with different plaid designs, I KNEW I absolutely had to do the house colors from Harry Potter. The Ravenclaw messed up a tiny bit, but I still absolutely LOVE how these turned out!! And of course I had to grab my Hermione's wand and Time Turner necklaces for the picture. The Hufflepuff yellow isn't quite as vibrant as I'd like, but what can you do? You work with what you've got. Btw, Ravenclaw for life here!! Hope you all like them! Women's Empowerment

Image
Hey everyone, it's me again! So...March is Women's Empowerment Month, and Maniology of course made a pair of plates to celebrate it! As a company who donates 10% of their Mani x Me proceeds to the YMCA of O'ahu, this plate set means a LOT to them...and to me as a woman. I ordered them as soon as I could, and they came yesterday. So as much as I enjoyed the daisies, I HAD to use these plates!! Combined with the plate I got from Born Pretty Store, I think this is an AMAZING design that I'm going to enjoy for a few days! Daisy, Daisy....

Image
Hey everyone! So I wanted to do something simple, but still spring-ish. I love daisies, they're definitely in my top 5 favorite flowers, and they're SO easy to do on nails with just a dotting tool! I love the contrast of the gray, and LOVE how they look matte. And of course I had to have some bling on there! The yellow rhinestones make the perfect centers for the little daisies, don't you think? Anyway, I think these are simply adorable! I hope they last for a few days...I don't really have a good track record with matte designs lol. Anti-St. Patrick's Day

Image
Hey everyone, it's me again! This post might be a little controversial, but it's part of who I am. So, St. Patrick's Day is in 2 days, and most people happily celebrate the man who "drove the snakes out of Ireland". I, and many other Pagans, do not. What many people don't know is...there were most likely never any snakes in Ireland!! The "snakes" that St. Patrick drove out were Pagans. He brought Christianity to Ireland. So, I "celebrate" that day with snakes, showing that I am a proud Pagan...who happens to have a lot of Irish ancestry.
